Terms of Use

Effective 23 August 2026. Between you and TeZe Ltd (company no. 17137231).

1. These terms

These terms govern your use of the Tactile Framework app at tactileframework.app. By creating an account or using the app you accept them. If you are using the app for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept them on its behalf, and the Data Processing Agreement applies to that organisation as controller.

2. Beta

The app is in beta and under active development. It is provided free of charge during beta. Features may change or be withdrawn, and while we take backups and take care with your data, you should not treat the app as the sole record of anything you cannot afford to lose. If we introduce charges we will tell you first, and beta use will not convert into a paid subscription without you choosing it.

3. What the app is, and what it is not

The app is a structured observation and record-keeping tool for practitioners. It records what a practitioner observed, tracks skills against the framework, and helps write goals and reports.

It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, it does not screen, and it does not recommend clinical interventions. It produces no algorithmic judgement about a learner. Every clinical decision remains the practitioner’s, made under their own professional judgement and their employer’s governance.

It does not replace your professional obligations.Record-keeping standards set by your regulator or professional body, safeguarding duties, and your employer’s information governance policies all continue to apply, and where they conflict with how the app works, they win.

4. Your account

Accounts are for named practitioners. Do not share credentials. Keep your sign-in secure and tell us promptly at hello@tactileframework.app if you believe an account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity under your account.

5. How you must use it

You agree to:

  • Keep learners unnamed.Identify learners by the code and label the app provides for that purpose. Do not enter a learner’s name, date of birth, address, NHS number or any other direct identifier into free-text notes.
  • Have a lawful basis, and the appropriate Article 9 condition, for recording observations about a learner before you record them.
  • Use the app only for the professional purpose it exists for, and not to build a dataset for research, marketing or any secondary purpose without a separate lawful basis.
  • Not attempt to access another practitioner’s caseload, probe the service for vulnerabilities without our written consent, or resell access.

6. The AI drafting features

The optional drafting features return an editable draft and never write to a learner’s record. Text is de-identified before it is sent for drafting. You remain responsible for everything you keep: read a draft, correct it, and only then make it part of a record. Do not paste a draft into a clinical record without reading it.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the app available and we work on it continuously, but we do not offer an uptime guarantee during beta. Planned maintenance is announced where we reasonably can.

8. Intellectual property

The Bodily-Tactile Communication Framework is the copyright of Steve Rose (V1.4, September 2026; copyright Steve Rose 2020), licensed CC BY-NC-ND 4.0. The app reproduces framework content with his involvement, and nothing in these terms transfers any right in the framework to you. Using the app does not license you to reproduce, adapt or redistribute the framework itself.

The software, interface and other app content are ours. You get a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use them while your account is open.

The records you create are yours. Observations, assessments and goals belong to you and your organisation. We claim no ownership of them and we do not use them for our own purposes.

9. Your data, and getting it out

How we handle personal data is set out in the Privacy Notice and, where we act as your processor, the Data Processing Agreement. You can request a full export of your data, in a readable format, at any time and at no charge, on any plan. If we ever wind the service down you get at least 90 days’ notice, a refund of any prepaid time, and your data handed over before anything is switched off.

10. Ending it

You can stop using the app and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that puts learner data at risk, or where we are required to by law. Except where the breach makes it impossible, we will tell you why and give you the chance to export your data first.

11. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, and because the app is provided free during beta, our total liability to you in connection with the app is limited to £100. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any clinical decision made by a practitioner. The app supports professional judgement; it does not substitute for it.

12. Changes, and the law that applies

We may update these terms. Material changes are notified at least 30 days in advance and you may close your account if you do not accept them. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
